From March 1st 2023 all Air Cargo transiting or importing to the EU will be subject to ICS 2 Entry requirements (more information can be found here). In effect, Carriers must be provided with House-level information for entry purposes.

Specifically, this operators must ensure EORI Numbers and HS Codes are provided to Air Carriers. Where Air bookings are managed through CW1, this information can be supplied via eAWB automatically.

For purposes of compliance, Great Britain, Switzerland and Norway are treated as being in the Eurozone along with true EU member countries.

EORI Numbers

For all Direct Air Consolidations entering or transiting the EU, GB, Norway and Switzerland the Shipment Consignee must have a valid EORI on their Organisation record.

For all other kinds of Air Consolidations entering or transiting the EU, the Shipment Receiving Agent must have a valid EORI on their Organisation record.

EORI numbers are registered to the Organisation under Details → Config → Registration Numbers / Codes where staff will need to enter:

  1. Country of Issue

  2. Type = EOR

  3. EORI Number

HS Codes

HS Codes must be entered against Shipment pack lines.

To do so, staff may need to Customise Columns (right click on the grid and select the column Country / Region Harmonised Codes

Where a pack line relates to a single HS code, this can be entered directly to the packing grid (#1 on the image to the right).

Where multiple HS codes relate to a single pack line, staff can click on the HS Details function to pop open an entry grid (#2 on the right).

This sub-grid supports the Import Data wizard found when right-clicking on an entry grid, which would simplify entry if staff have the HS codes listed in a CSV (or Excel) file.
