Kit Build

Once all child products are collected, the operator will need to physically and systematically build a kit.

Step 1: Select Kit Build

  • The operator selects ‘Kit Build’ from menu.

  • The operator proceeds to scan/enter the kit build, work bench.

    • If the work bench is valid, the operator proceeds to scan/enter the cart ID.

    • If the work bench is not valid, the operator will need to scan/enter a different kit build, work bench.

Step 2: Scan/Enter Cart ID

  • The operator scans/enters the cart ID that was used to pick the child products for the kit.

    • If the cart ID associated with kit work is valid, the operator proceeds to physically build the kits and enter the quantity of total built kits.

      • If quantity built is less than or equal to the picked amount, JASCI software creates putaway work.

      • If quantity built is NOT less than or equal to the picked amount, an error message is displayed.

    • If the cart ID associated with kit work is NOT valid, the operator will need to locate the correct cart.

Step 3: Putaway

  • JASCI creates putaway work and completes the following for the built kits:

    • Slots the parent product.

    • Prints the putaway label (AKA LPN).

  • If the operator has to build additional kits for the request, the operator returns to step 2.

  • If the operator does NOT have the build additional kits for the request, the operator proceeds to putaway the kits.

  • If the operator has to build additional kits due to a CUT, the operator will need to manually complete the work and free the carts.

  • If the operator does NOT have to build additional kits due to a CUT, the operator will enter the total amount of built kits.
