What is Cross Border vs. Traditional International Shipping?

Cross Border shipping is the practice of consolidating large volumes of parcel shipments, for either outbound or returns shipments, from 1 or more retailers by international destination and exporting the parcels to their destination as an individual consolidated air freight shipment. Once the export is received at destination and clears customs, the consolidation is broken down at the parcel level and sorted by carrier. From here the parcels are injected into the respective carrier networks and routed for delivery.
