Pack and Ship - TRUCKLOAD Orders

Once the operator has completed the picking process, the order will need be packed and labelled properly if required. If the order requires specific trading partner labels, please refer to the client’s sop.

If the order being packed is a LTL/FTL order, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Scan LPN and Capture Inventory Details

If no inventory details data capture is required, the operator will follow up to part (A), scanning the LPN, and then proceed to Step 2.

  • The operator selects ‘Pack Ship Multi’ from the menu and scan a ‘Work Bench’

    • If the ‘Work Bench’ is not for multi packs, the operator will need scan another ‘Work Bench’

  • (A) The operator scans/enters the LPN to be packed

    • If the LPN is not valid, the operator will need to scan a valid LPN

  • (C) If the product on the shipment is serialized, JASCI will display the product and prompt the operator for serial entry

  • The operator will scan/enter the serial

    • If the serial is stored in the system and is a valid serial for the scanned product, (B) JASCI will update work with the scanned serial and update the serial number as processed (to avoid duplicate scanning).

    • If the serial is stored in the system and is not valid serial for the scanned product, JASCI will display an error message and then return to part (C)

    • If the serial is not in the system, the operator can create new serial based on the scanned serial number and (B) JASCI will update work with the scanned serial and update the serial number as processed (to avoid duplicate scanning).

Step 2: Confirming Carrier, Service, and Containers

  • JASCI will capture the weight from the product master , capture the carrier, capture the carrier service level, and capture the cartonzation

  • If no updates to the carrier, service, and/or container need to be made the operator selects ' Process Shipment'

  • If updates need to be made to the carrier, the service and/or the container, the operator will make the required updates

    • Once the updates are complete, the operator selects ‘Process Shipment’

 

Step 3: Receiving and Affixing Shipping Documents

  • JASCI will print the packing slip/return instructions and the shipping label

  • The operator packs the product(s) and applies the shipping label

  • If there are more LPNs to be packed, the operator will return to part (A)

  • If there are no more LPNs to be packed, the packing process is complete
