Country Accessorial Charges - What Are They?

Origin Accessorial Charges

capture all revenue for services provided to customers at the origin before the shipment is handed over to the carrier for international transportation. These include cargo pickup, origin customs brokerage, freight insurance, terminal charges & relevant documentation charges to name a few.

Destination Accessorial Charges

capture all revenue for services provided to customers at the destination after collection of shipment from carrier till delivery to end consignee. These include recovery from the terminal, destination customs brokerage, terminal charges, storage, demurrage & detention charges & document charges.

Why do we need Country Accessorial Charges uploaded to Magaya?

Effective 1^st January 2024, 100% of transactional quotations must go out from Magaya (no exception), which can be integrated into CW1 thus ensuring files are Auto Rated in CW1 as well as posting expected costs against the same files thus enabling Auto Costing (ACR) & Revenue (WIP). This is one of the key components of the file ledger management process within Project Lightspeed.

There is an urgency for SEKO to improve on overall yield management and pricing transformation and to optimize the quote-to-cash process, we must establish and maintain Country Accessorial Charges in Magaya.

How do we upload Country Accessorial Charges in Magaya?
