Adding SEKO360 WMS to a Zebra device

This is to help configure the Zebra device's scanning app along with other general setups. Tested on Google Chrome Version 70.0.3538.80 and DataWedge version 6.7.47.

General setups

There are several setups that are needed to operate the Seko360 web app on the Zebra devices. You need to Change the keyboard size in order to get a better user experience and also to make the web app Add to Home screen.

Change the keyboard size

  1. Select Settings and go to Languages & input and then Virtual keyboard.

  2. Select Google Keyboard, Preferences then finally choose Short for Keyboard height.

Add to Home screen

  1. Select Google Chrome and enter the desired url to access Seko360.


  2. Once you have logged into Seko360, tap the 3 dots which bring you a menu. Then choose Add to Home screen.

  3. After Add to Home screen, enter the desired name for the home screen app and it should appear like one of the thumbnails below.


DataWedge

DataWedge is the scanning app that the Zebra device relies on and it is very important that the profile is setup properly. There are two different ways that will be illustrated below, Import profile and Creating profile manually.

Import Profile

You can import the profile (dwprofile_DWDemo.db) to save you time to reconfigure. Follow the steps below:- 

  1. Connect Zebra device to PC via USB.

  2. Swipe down on the Zebra device to choose the USB options to Transfer files in order to see the directories on the PC




  3. On the PC, put the file into \TC20\Internal shared storage





  4. On the Zebra device, swipe up to get the Apps and choose DataWedge




  5. Tap the 3 dots then Settings




  6. Scroll down to Import Profile and tap the single dot to choose internal and choose dwprofile_DWDemo.db


Creating profile manually

  1. Go to DWDemo, select the 3 dots button and select Settings

  2. Make sure Profile enabled and Barcode input > Enabled are ticked. Then proceed Associated apps.

  3. Select the 3 dots button and to choose an app. The one you needs is * com.android.chrome as shown below.

  4. Make sure Scanner Selection has Auto (2D Barcode imager), Keystroke output > Enabled ticked, Action key character to be Carriage return.

  5. Following that choose Basic data formatting and make sure Keystroke output > Enable, Send data and Send ENTER key all ticked.
