Introduction

Our WMS provided as a SaaS based and can accessed and operated using only a modern web browser.

In order to operate our WMS, the DC requires a fast and stable connection to the internet.

Whilst the system is not hardware specific, we detail our recommendations below, based on many implementations we have made over the years:

• The WMS can be operated using a desktop PC only, however it is highly recommended that users use mobile computers (also known as Handheld Terminals) which provide real time operations and greater accuracy and efficiency.

• To be able to use mobile computers, the DC require to have a good wireless coverage throughout.

PC – Receiving / Dispatching Minimum requirements

These are the minimum requirements required for Receiving/Dispatching:

Network Enabled PC

A network enabled PC running MS Windows 11 and the latest version of Google Chrome (recommended) or Microsoft Edge browsers.

Bar-code scanner

1. 1D / 2D tethered bar-code scanner link to the above PC using a USB cable or Bluetooth. A guide model will be Zebra LS2208 (1D) or Zebra DS2208 (2D)

A4 printer

A network enabled printer is required if you are looking to have documents automation. A guide model will be HP LaserJet Pro M402n.

Label Printer

Direct Thermal label printer which supports labels with the size of 10cm x 15 cm (4-inch x 6 inch). We recommend getting the one which is network enabled as it allows for printing automation. A guide model will be ‘Zebra GK420D’ (discontinued) or it’s replacement ‘Zebra ZD421D’.

Mobile Computers (Handheld Terminal)

1. A mobile computer running an updated version of Android. Whilst there are many products available in the market, we highly recommended using Zebra TC21 or TC26 devices running Android version 14.

Please note that Apple devices are not suitable to be used as mobile computers.

Print Server (for documents automation)

One of these is required:

Network Enabled PC

Network enabled PC running windows 11 or windows server with a permanent access to the internet. Recommended hardware:

• Intel core i7 4.0 GHz

• 8 GB RAM

• At least 160 GB Hard Disk

Cloud windows based Virtual Machine

A Cloud windows based Virtual Machine can be used for the print server if it can communicate with the local printers inside the DC.

Please note, our own propriety software will need to be installed on the print server, and we will require remote access to it during setup.
