Installing and configuring the print agent
The Omni Print agent is required if you are printing labels through OmniParcel.
We recommend the Zebra GK420d Direct Thermal Printer to use with the Omni Print agent.
Plug in your printer to your PC.
Make sure that the printer is added in the “Devices and Printers” folder.
For Windows 10 users go to step 3.
For other windows operating systems Install the Microsoft .Net 4.0 Client Runtime from the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17113 . You can use the latest version if its available.
Download the Omni Parcel printer agent. https://cdn.omniparcel.com/public/downloads/op-printagentV18.exe
Follow the normal setup instructions during the installation process.
An Omni Parcel printer agent shortcut icon will appear on the desktop.
Open the icon, please note it can take few seconds to start up.
Enter your OmniParcel log in details in the login window as shown below. If you do not have login details please contact our support team.
9. Confirm your site name and Print Agent name.
10. Save your selection be pressing the “Save” button.
11. The system will now minimize this window, so just click on below print agent icon to setup your printer.
12. Open the printers tab as shown in below image (Figure 4) then select your Label printer from printer dropdown.
13. You can give a name to your printer to identify your printer in case you have multiple printers. Eg; Office Printer, Warehouse Printer etc. The printer’s name will be automatically set as the chosen printer by default.
14. Set the format to “Universal Printing for most thermal printers (PNG)”.(Default).
15. Set the orientation to “Landscape”. (Default)
16. Make sure that the rotate box is not checked.
17. Set the system to “Omni Parcel”.
18. Set the Label Size (the Print Agent will give you 2 option for label size “4X7 (100X175)” and “4X6 (100X150)”.
19. Then click the “Add” button to link the printer in your OmniParcel account.
Set the label size “4X7 (100X175)” for Omni Parcel in order to print 4X7 Label.
Set the label size “4X6 (100X150)” for Omni Parcel in order to print 4X6 Label.
20. Open the settings tab and tick both “start minimised” and “start on system startup”. Then press the “Save” button.
21. The setup is now complete. You can now close the Omni Parcel Printer Agent application.
Select the printer in OmniParcel
1. Go to omniparcel.com and click the Administration tab. Select “Preference and Settings”.
2. Open the Label printer tab and choose your required printer from the list of Label Printer.
3.The printer can be found as follow: (Site Name) >> (Printer Agent Name)>> (Printer name).
4. Click the “Save Changes” button.
5. Print a test page by clicking on the “Print Test Page” button.
6. If you get print out then your configuration is completed successfully.
7. If not then check some basic trouble shootings like;
a. Is your printer is connected to your system/connected through network?
b. Are there any issues with your printer cable?
c. Make sure printer is not on offline mode.
d. Make sure there is nothing in the Print Queue.
e. Make sure you are using the correct OmniParcel login details of your account. Every Omni user have their own printers saved.
f. Make sure you have selected the correct printer in Omni Print agent settings.
g. Make sure you have Microsoft framework is installed properly or your windows user has rights to use MS Framework
