LETDOWN methodology will pull the full quantity from a location to refill the replenishment location.

Performing a Letdown

To view or perform a LETDOWN, open the option in a mobile device. You can perform all of the open LETDOWN tasks in a specific Work Zone by scanning that work zone (i.e. the BULK area, or location to pull the product FROM).

LETDOWN tasks are assigned by priority. Highest priority tasks will display first.

Scan Location

The operator goes to the location as displayed on the mobile and scans the location barcode. If the wrong location is scanned, the mobile will display an error.

The mobile will display the product, product description, and quantity to pick from the location.

Pick Product

The operator attempts to pick the displayed quantity of that product from the location. If the entire quantity is available in the location, the operator selects PICK on the mobile. The mobile displays the location to move the product to (the replenishment location). If the entire quantity is not available, see the Trouble process.

The operator goes to the location and scans the location barcode to confirm. If the wrong location barcode is scanned, JASCI will signal an error to the operator. If the correct location barcode is scanned, the location is updated with the new inventory and the replenishment transaction is complete. The operator places the product into the location.

If more LETDOWN tasks are open, the operator will be prompted with the next LETDOWN task.

Trouble

If the operator is unable to find the entire quantity displayed on the mobile for a LETDOWN replenishment, the operator selects Trouble on the mobile device. This will send the location to the Trouble Station for a Location Check so the discrepancy can be researched and resolved.

When the operator puts a LETDOWN task into Trouble, the operator may continue to the next LETDOWN task, if any are available.

Trouble Station is a type of JASCI Work Bench used to investigate and resolve workflow interruptions.

Trouble Station allows an operator to view the characteristics of orders and clear orders from the trouble station by creating a back-order, an order re-pick, or split to reallocate and create two separate orders for further processing.
