Workflow
The cart(s) and the containers associated to the cart(s) (AKA slots) must be “registered” in JASCI software, otherwise user(s) will not be able to pick.
Create Container(s)
Containers, also known as pick cart ‘slots’, must be created before creating the pick cart. If the container has already been created continue to the “Creating a Pick Cart” section.
Step 1: Open ‘Container Maintenance’
On the navigation bar select 8 - Setup > Maintenance > Container Maintenance
Step 2: Create New Container
The user is directed to the ‘Search-Create/Maintain Container’ screen. Click the ‘New’ button to create a new container.
Step 3: Container Information
The user is directed to the ‘Container Maintenance - New’ screen. Proceed to enter or provide the following information:
Container Type - ‘PICKCART-Pick Cart’
Container ID
Name - Descriptive name of container
Container Use Code - Identifies if this cart will be used for single, discrete, or order picking orders.
Height
Width
Length
Storage Cube
Maximum Weight
Maximum Quantity
Maximum Products
Click the ‘Save/Update’ button.
Create Cart(s)
A pick cart must be created for every physical pick cart a warehouse has.
Step 1: Open 'Cart Maintenance'
On the navigation bar select 8 - Setup > Maintenance > Cart Maintenance
Step 2: Create New Cart
The user is directed to the ‘Search-Create/Maintain Cart’ screen. Click the ‘New’ button to create a new cart.
Step 3: Cart Information
The user is directed to the ‘CART Maintenance - New’ screen. Proceed to enter or provide the following information:
CartID
Number of Slots
Cart Type - Pick Cart
PreLabel LPN - Yes
LPN At DropOff - DropOff
Select Order base on Container ID - Yes
Work Type PreAssigned - Select one from the following list: Batch Single, Cluster Pick, Discrete, TruckLoad
Department - Outbound

Step 4: Name Slots
JASCI will autogenerate x number of slots that was entered in the ‘Number of Slots’ field (Refer to step 3) on the same page.
In the ‘Slot Number x’ field(s) enter the slot name. Note, this NOT the slot LPN. The ‘Slot Number x’ field will be used to refer the slot LPN while picking. This field does NOT have to be numeric.
In the ‘Container ID x’ field, select the container type (slots) the pick cart contains. Note, the containers that were previously created will appear in the dropdown list.
Click the ‘Save' button.
Assign LPNs to Cart(s)
Now that the cart has been created, LPNs must be assigned to all of the slots attached to the cart.
Step 1: Open 'Cart Maintenance'
On the navigation bar select 8 - Setup > Maintenance > Cart Maintenance
Step 2: Search for Pick Cart
The user is directed to the ‘Search-Create/Maintain Cart’ screen.
In the ‘Cart Type’ field, select ‘Pick Cart’ and click the ‘Search’ button.
Step 3: Select Pick Cart
The user is directed to the ‘Cart Search Lookup’ screen. Select the cart that was previously created and click ‘Edit’.
Note, to duplicate a cart with similar, select the cart and click the ‘Copy’ button.
Step 4: Enter LPNs
In the LPN column, enter the license plate number that corresponds to the ‘Cart Slot’ number.
Click the ‘Update’ button.
