Location

A location refers to specific storage spots within the warehouse. These locations are where goods/items are stored. They can be identified using a unique code or identifier, which helps in tracking the exact position of an item in the warehouse.

Create New Location

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Location

  2. Click on the “Create New” button. 

  3. Enter the Sort Order

  4. Select Location “Format” and Type in the “Full Location” Path

  5. Enter the Name and Description

  6. Select Location “Type”

  7. Select “Storage Type” 

  8. Toggle YES or NO for “Floor Spot”

  9. Click the “Save” button.

Location Status/Tabs

Active

Shows all Locations in use

Suspended

To Suspend a location:

  1. Go to Active tab, tick on the Location checkbox and Click “Suspend” button.

  2. or click “Edit” icon Location and Toggle “Suspend”; then Press SAVE button

To put back to “Active” status, tick on the Location checkbox and Click “Active” button.

Deallocated

Shows all “Deallocated” Locations

Closed

To Close a location:

Go to Deallocated tab, tick on the Location checkbox and Click “Close” button.

Module

Module refers to groupings of stocks or inventory in the warehouse.

It is set up by category per Client with unique code and description.

Create New Module

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Module

  2. Click on the “Create Module” button

  3. Select DC and Client on the dropdown

  4. Enter Module Name and Description

  5. Click the “Save” button

Assign Locations to a Module 

  1. Click on the “View Location” Grid icon next to the Module you want to assign locations to

  2. Select the “To Assign” tab

  3. Enter “Full Location” Path or select “Storage Type” Then click the “Search” button

  4. Select the location you want to assign to this module and then click the “Assign Locations” button

Product Group

Create Group

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Product Group

  2. Click on the “Create Group” button

  3. Enter the DC, “Client”, Name and Description

  4. Click the “Save” button

  5. Fill out Product Group Maintenance or Click “Back to Group List” button

Assign Default Modules and Capacities to a Group 

  1. Click on the “Edit” button next to the Group you want to assign the default modules and capacities to

  2. Set the Default “Module” and “Capacity” for the storage types

  3. Click the “Save” button

Assign Products to a Group 

  1. Click on the “View Products” button next to the Group you want to assign products to

  2. Select the “To Assign” tab

  3. Select the products you want to assign to this group and then click the “Assign Products” button

Client Warehouse Setting

Create Client Warehouse/DC Attributes

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Client Warehouse

  2. Select the Client

  3. Toggle Yes or NO on each Attribute

  4. Enter the Number of Pick Faces

  5. Set the Default “Module” and “Capacity” for the storage types 

  6. Click the “Save Settings” button

Item Warehouse Setting

Create an Item Warehouse Attributes

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Item Warehouse

  2. Select the Client and then enter the SKU

  3. Toggle Yes or NO on each Attribute

  4. Enter the Units per Case and Number of Pick Faces

  5. Click the “Create Settings” button

If the product is assigned a group, it will inherit the group’s default modules and capacities otherwise it will inherit the Clients default modules and capacities. These inherited modules and capacities can be changed if need be for this item

Zones

Zones refers to Set of locations forming a large area or the segregation of product locations.

It helps the users to easily identify the location by checking the zone and to shorten their travel time in Picking.

 Create New Zone

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Location Management -> Zone

  2. Click on the “Create Zone” button

  3. Select DC and Client on the dropdown

  4. Enter Zone Name and Description

  5. Click the “Save” button

Assign Locations to a Zone 

  1. Click on the “View Location” Grid icon next to the Zone you want to assign locations to

  2. Select the “To Assign” tab

  3. Enter “Full Location” Path or select “Storage Type” Then click the “Search” button

  4. Select the location you want to assign to this zone and then click the “Assign Locations” button
