Receiving Goods into Warehouse

Deliveries have to be

  • “arrived” - registered as having arrived at the warehouse site

  • “received” - received into the warehouse

  • “confirmed” - confirmed as received and placed in a particular location - producing a GRN (Goods Received Note)

Once confirmed, stock is available to be picked, packed and dispatched. There is a dispatch notification for “received” and “confirmed” activity.

Dispatching Goods from the Warehouse

Sales orders have to be

  • “picked” - taken from a specified location and placed in a packing area

  • “packed” - packed into appropriate packing boxes/cartons/pallets etc

  • “dispatched” - put ready for picking up by the transporting supplier

Once dispatched, stock can be treated as outside the warehouse. There is a dispatch notification for this activity.
