Outbound Shipping (3PLC)


E-commerce Shipping

The shipping phase is when the carrier arrives to retrieve all orders booked with the carrier. Most ecommerce orders are picked up by a parcel carrier (FedEx, UPS, DHL). Typically, these carriers have a designated picked up area and collect the shipment upon arrival

Step 1: Verify Shipment

For FTL (full truck load), the SEKO customer service representative will need verify the shipment.

  • If the shipment is not correctly verified, SEKO will have refuse the carrier

  • If the shipment is verified, a SEKO customer service representative will assign a dock door and notify a warehouse operator.

Step 2: Load Truck / Lock & Seal

The warehouse operator will proceed to load the carrier vehicle.

  • If necessary, the warehouse operator will lock and seal the carrier vehicle.

Step 3: Obtain Carrier Signature & Print BOL

A SEKO customer service representative confirms the BOL before the carrier is released.

Step 4: Confirm Shipment

The SEKO customer service representative confirms the shipment is complete through the WMS. This ends the KPI and sends a dispatch confirmation to client.

Step 5: Send Ship / Dispatch Confirmation

Parcel tracking numbers are issued to the client via the integration within the dispatch confirmation message, enabling the consumer to access and monitor all delivery milestones.
