Notes
DPA Dispatch vs Pick by SKU
DPA Dispatch was developed at the same time as Directive Put Away and was developed before Wave Picking. It was originally designed as the picking process for Clients that use “Directive Put Away”. This may no longer used and this will be confirmed soon.
The main difference with this method of picking is the following:
Users can only pick from locations assigned a Module.
Modules are used in Directive Put Away.
Directive Put Away requires each location to have only one active licence plate.
Locations with multiple licence plates and locations that are not assigned a module cannot be picked from using DPA Dispatch.
Therefore, this is picking from locations with only one active licence plate and only from locations assigned a module.
SKU Packing
“SKU Packing” gives users the ability to use the mobile device to pack dispatches by scanning each SKU in the dispatch. The number of times a SKU is scanned depends on the quantity of each dispatch line.
It also supports dispatches that have more advanced packing requirements such as building kits, capturing serial numbers, or packing to multiple boxes.
It is the mobile version of the front-end module “Web Order Packing”.
