Exclusive Italy Agent Operational Instructions

Attention USA International Operations,

Recently we have awarded a new agent Exclusive Agent in Italy Foppiani Shipping & Logistics SRL. This agent relationship is unique where we are required to bill their New York office in America. Since we have this unique billing of a foreign overseas agent in America, we will have to ensure we are coding our shipments correctly as the responsible parties of controlling agent and controlling customer. As a reminder the rules for using controlling customer & agent are attached along with other organization parties within a shipment for your review.

1              Controlling Customer – Is a CargoWise term that appears in an Organization Record and in a One-Off Quote, Booking, and Shipment. It is defined as an external customer organization that controls a Shipment. The highest client family level and will be used to track client reporting.

2              Controlling Agent - Is a CargoWise term that appears in an Organization Record and in a One-Off Quote, Booking, and Shipment. It is defined as the internal party that owns the commercial relationship with the controlling customer and will be used to track controlling station reporting.

For Foppiani routed business controlling customer code on all shipments should be FOPSHINYC  and controlling agent code on all shipments should be FOPSHIMXP

Corporate has gone back recently and updated shipments for 2023. We have also made some defaults in the FOPSHINYC  org profile to default to controlling agent FOPSHIMXP.

Please review this with your local teams and ensure the controlling customer and controlling agent codes for any agent/client.etc all shipments are properly understood and being utilized locally. These two fields are the most important fields for corporate & local branch reporting on clients and agents.
