*Important, please read In entirety*

 HI Team SEKO!

Please note the below immediate change in Operational Requirements. This is important and below actions will have impact on future KPI’s seen in the Operations Control Dashboard

Mandatory Requirements for Entering Routing Information in CargoWise

To standardize our global data integrity, we need to improve, as a global team, our data quality when entering carrier routing information while creating consolidations in CargoWise.

Please find below requirements and ensure that all staff within your branch have access to read and follow these instructions going forward. When this process is not followed it results in false departure and arrival calculation for our Global Operational KPIs, which populate onto Operation Control Dashboard and creates additional un-required updates to our files.

With the new upcoming enhancements in Late Billing & other logic the below Routing & Milestone management on our shipments are going to be extremely important. Your immediate attention on this subject is requested.

Consol - Routing Tab: Use this tab to enter all necessary legs for the transport movement. The legs entered here should match exactly what is on the carrier booking confirmation and carrier master bill of lading. If applicable all feeder, transship, and/or rail legs all need to be listed out from what listed on the carrier booking confirmation and carrier master bill of lading.

  • Enter the:

    • ‘Mode’ of transport (sea, air, rail, road)

    • Type (main, pre-carriage, on-carriage or other)

  • To subscribe to the automatic container tracking available through CargoWise be sure that each routing leg has the “is linked” check box checked. Once subscribed, most ATD and ATA legs will auto populate against the jobs. It’s the responsibility of the SEKO origin office to ensure that first leg ATD is filled in 100% of the time, whether manual or automatic. It’s the responsibility of destination office to ensure ATA of first leg, and ATD and ATA of all other legs are filled in 100% of the time.

Below You will see the 3 main fields at the consol level that must be completed correctly for successful subscription of container automation for Ocean Shipments.

  1. Carrier Code must be the Global Carrier Code (i.e *_ WW Code):

  1. Carrier Booking Reference is the reference you receive when making a booking with a Steamship line/ Carrier:

  1. Container Number must be accurate:

Enter the Correct Routing Details in the Consol Routing Tab:

  • Pre-Carriage Vessel (PRE) Feeder vessel that is hired by the carrier should be listed as the pre-carriage.

  • Main Vessel (MAI)this is the main vessel used for the transport.

  • On-Forwarding Vessel (ONF) this should be used for legs of the journey after the Mainleg has been completed

  • Other (OTH)to be used for rail & road legs.

  • List the vessel/voyage or flight number for main transport legs and feeder vessels if applicable.

  • Enter the ETD/ETA for each associated routing leg.

  • Enter Global Carrier Code (*_WW)

  • CargoWise is linked to globally published schedules, clicking the ‘Import’ buttons on the right will allow users to search by carrier, origin, and destination to import a schedule into the routing tab.

  • List the carrier receiving window and documentation due date in the ‘Origin Details’ section.
